Small gatherings of women aged 40+ who assemble to solve midlife problems using frontier tools.
Like wine and cheese, we believe that intelligence improves over time.
And when women of a certain age gather around a lot of cheese, they can solve almost anything.
WHY WE DO THIS
We were there when the internet tsunami rolled in. We know AI is just as consequential. Right now, the conversation is dominated by productivity and workplace optimization and personal hacks and doomsaying. That’s fine, but it’s narrow.
Women’s lives aren’t narrow. We’re navigating aging parents, financial planning, creative projects, relationship turmoil, and work pivots. Some of us are taking this midlife moment to reinvent ourselves. AI can be a compass for all of that.
But not alone. No one wants more loneliness. So we’re reclaiming the dining table as a place to figure this out together.
For generations, women have gathered in domestic spaces to orient around new tools and crafts and ideas: quilting bees, book clubs, Tupperware parties. The setting changes, but the pattern remains the same. We learn by doing, share tips, and decide for ourselves what’s useful.
The founders of the Aged Intelligence Society grew up in the Bay Area where homebrew computing and the Whole Earth Catalog were born. We believe all people should have “access to tools.” Except instead of building geodesic domes, we’re solving midlife quandaries: how to have hard conversations, do our best work, and navigate systems that weren’t built with us in mind. Join us.
