Getting our hands in frontier tools
With every new technology comes both hope and fear. The Aged Intelligence Society is optimistic about AI and believes that we must shape our tools. But we are not here to proselytize or change your mind, and you need not agree with us to be invited.
How Our
AI & Cheese Gatherings came to be
Nina Willdorf and Shoshana Berger met as editors-in-chief in the aughts, when magazines were still a viable career path. They found each other again at a friend’s birthday party and discovered a shared obsession with AI.
Weekly meetings followed. As consultants, they traded use cases for frontier tools and wrestled with questions that have no playbooks: how to price decades of wisdom, how to stay hungry without getting burned out, how to turn a complaint about someone you love into a request.
They realized they’d stumbled into something increasingly rare: time and space to think out loud and learn from one another. In July 2025, they convened the first gathering of the Aged Intelligence Society.
